Oil Paint on plastic figures?
Hey there! I recently bought some cell phone charms, and decided to liven the paint up a bit, so I painted them with oil paints (I know this may not have been the best choice of paint for these plastic anime figures, but I didn’t want to use acrylic.)
Now I am wondering, about how long will it take to completely dry up? I know oil paint takes a pretty lengthy time to dry, and since I painted on plastic, I have a feeling it will take longer. I am not really experienced using these paints.
Also, if i wanted to dilute these paints (with something I could easily come by in my house) what would I use? Obviously water wont mix too well with oil paints.

Oil paint should never be used on plastic to begin with. It’s not made for that purpose. But acrylic is and you can remove the oil paint and start over if you wanted to.
Use a paint thinner or turpentine to remove the oil paint then clean the surface and let dry and start over using the correct paint which are Acrylics.
